Casino rakeback: the actual calculation
Stake’s help article describes rakeback as 3.5% of the game’s house edge, not 3.5% of deposits, stakes or losses. Its example uses 1 BTC of turnover at a 2% edge: 1 × 0.02 × 0.035 = 0.0007 BTC. This is a global programme description, not a local-currency welcome offer.
The article excludes voided and cashed-out sportsbook bets from rakeback. Eligibility is account-dependent; a partner link alone should not be read as a guaranteed cash amount. Increasing turnover to chase a rebate also increases exposure to gambling losses.

Casino bonus rollover: contribution changes the arithmetic
Stake’s deposit-bonus policy uses deposit plus bonus as the rollover base. It describes a 4% edge reference: a 1%-edge game contributes 0.25 per unit staked; sportsbook contributes 0.75. At those rates, 100 units of eligible stakes add 25 or 75 units respectively toward turnover. These are contribution examples, not a universal bonus multiplier.
An active requirement locks the associated currency subject to the policy’s completion or balance-exhaustion conditions. The policy also lists excluded games. Final verdict
Stake stands out for its same-game product, in-play navigation and reward programme rather than a single conventional deposit match. It is a stronger comparison candidate for someone specifically researching those features than for a reader seeking one uncomplicated, universally available welcome percentage.
The main limitations are conditional Cash Out, campaign-specific reward mechanics and geographic availability. A global product description does not establish local permission, including in Lagos, where the regulator lists Stake.com among unlicensed operators.
Company and local availability
Stake’s terms name Medium Rare N.V. and state Curaçao licence OGL/2024/1451/0918. That international licence does not constitute permission in every African country. The Lagos authority’s published unlicensed-operator list names Stake.com, so this review does not recommend it as a Lagos-authorised operator.
